A New Beginning

Here’s something to think about; in order to get something new, we must first quit old habits. Now I want you to think about that new thing that you want in your life and then think about your habits. Are they in sync with one another? If not, don’t be too hard on yourself and definitely don’t worry too much — just be mindful, going forward. Every new day marks a new beginning which means each day we are given opportunities to change our course in life. Don’t let the fact that things aren’t going your way stop you from your new beginning.

In life, new challenges should never be out of bounds yet very few people set out to try something unfamiliar because instinctively we put a high price on comfort. Sometimes we’ll willingly accept known hells over unknown heavens because we enjoy ease or familiarity not realizing we only cheat ourselves in the long run. This can result in regret as time goes on. Whether it’s your first attempt at doing something or your thousandth effort at trying to make something happen, just focus on the end result but make sure you’re optimistic about it.

The time is going to pass anyway so why not put some action behind your words and see what you can prove to yourself! Trying something new can be intimidating but staying in the same situation can lead to a grim outcome, especially if you’re not satisfied where you are. Of course new beginnings should not be limited to unfavorable situations because we can always do new things to make things more interesting or to keep things exciting. So don’t be afraid to begin a new task and if you’re bewildered in the process just remind yourself that you may not know all the controls but you’ll soon get it. Go rediscover that thing that you makes you tick and begin again!
