You’re Built for It
Everyone has a weakness, but so many people find out just how strong they are when the area that they are weak in is tested. That includes you and whatever it is that you’re up against at the moment. You’re persistent when you choose to be. Make today the day that you choose to be persistent and with good intentions. Don’t concern yourself with tomorrow, it’s not even here yet.
Don’t allow idleness to cause your strength or resilience to diminish because you don’t see a way. You’ve come this far in your journey; why stop? Why turn back now? You’re built for what you’re going through and believe it or not, that’s why you’re going through it. Think of it as a test of your faith.
The reason may not be clear to you and it could feel like the situation may never end but when it is over, and you pay attention to what happened, you should be a better person as a result. Life is about taking the good with the bad and giving thanks in everything all the time. Everyone has their share of ups and downs just like every situation has an end date. This season is no different. We’re graded on every test that we take. Some test can appear more painful than others.
Pain is not considered a weakness when you’re confronting adversity. It’s only a weakness when you succumb to the pressure that brought on that pain. When the pain is gone, strength prevails! It’s no different than when someone goes to the gym to workout — if you’ve never been or if you haven’t gone in a while you will most likely ease into a routine as opposed to going in trying to lift your max weight, right? Probably not. Neither should you wasted your time comparing your workout to the next person.
If you want to see results, then like going to the gym, you have to be consistent and showing up with the right mindset is the first step. What do you tell yourself before you start something? What you tell yourself will in the beginning will determine how you far you go in that moment. A major key is to not focus on someone else’s load and how much they can handle but to manage your own burden.
The world is your gym and everything you’ve gone through has shaped you for where you are and what you have right now. If you’re not satisfied then you can increase your frequency. You probably won’t see immediate results but you’ll definitely get stronger. Keep going — you’re built for it.
